The images of transformation in ancient cultures and religions are varied -- a sweat lodge, a mountain such as Sinai, an alchemical vessel, or here, a baptismal font.
These are places of transformation, places where we experience ourselves moving from one state of being to another. Unfortunately, many of the religious rituals which once made possible this essential human experience are no longer compelling or effective. Tranformation has become elusive in our time.
Some are still able to find transformation through institutional religion. But many others now seek transformative experience in other ways, including Jungian analysis. If you are on an inward journey and seek profound self discovery, Jungian analysis may be a path that will be transformative for you.
